Basic SWAT
Basic SWAT is an entry level tactical class that is meant to provide the students with a firm understanding of basic SWAT concepts and operations. More advanced concepts will not be taught until the student understands and can apply the basics. The training will begin with thought-processing and individual tactics before moving into team tactics and technical skills. Upon completion of the class the student will understand the planning and preparation process required for SWAT application and should be able to serve as a functional member of any SWAT team. It is up to the student to hone skills learned in this class, gain technical proficiency with other new skills and have a firm understanding and working knowledge of their individual policies and SOPs.
Advanced SWAT
Advanced SWAT is a tactical class that is meant to provide the students with a firm understanding of SWAT concepts and operations through classroom and well-developed field exercises. Students will have the opportunity to demonstrate response/resolve a barricaded suspect situation, hostage rescue tactics and techniques, entry [breaching] techniques, movement/stealth techniques to accomplish perimeter containment, control and operational procedures. This course does not require the Basic SWAT course as a prerequisite; however the student must demonstrate prior knowledge to Basic SWAT concepts. Our training complements the body’s natural reaction to stress and the sympathetic nervous system responses and does not conflict it, making a seamless transition from training to real-world application. Upon completion of the class the student will have demonstrated the planning and preparation process required for SWAT, and should be able to serve as a functional member of any SWAT team. It is up to the student to hone skills learned in this class, gain technical proficiency with other new skills and have a firm understanding and working knowledge of their individual policies and SOPs.
